Empennage Kit Arrives!

Went to the loading dock to pick it up

If you know me, you know I’m impatient. The crate for the empennage/aft fuselage arrived at the local loading dock this morning, and they were set to deliver it Monday….but I couldn’t wait! So Wendy and I hopped into the truck and took a drive over to the Old Dominion loading dock in Lithia Springs and loaded it into the back of the pickup.

A little long for the back of the truck...I tripple strapped it in

I dug things out while Wendy brought them into the shop

Wrapped in all that paper is a bazillion litte parts to inventory

I'm gonna have to move these to a safe place where they won't get stepped on

Started Inventorying

After we got everything inside I started taking inventory and organizing things. I’ll spend some time tomorrow finishing up the inventory and putting all the hardware in bins. Then I’ll be ready to start cranking out parts. From what I’ve seen so far, the completeness of the kit is amazing, and there is definitely more done for you then there was with the RV-7A.
